An AUPET graduate gave a lecture to students
On March 16, 2026, a guest lecture was held at the Gumarbek Daukeyev Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications as part of the "Energo Alumni Club" movement.
The speaker was Diaz Maratovich Espayev, a 2014 graduate of the university with a degree in Automation and Control and a maintenance consultant at Tengizchevroil.
The lecture's topic was "Integrated Equipment Reliability Engineering: From Failure Probability to Production System Economics." During the lecture, the speaker shared his practical experience in the oil and gas industry, discussed modern approaches to equipment reliability management, and explained how failure probability analysis impacts the efficiency and economics of production processes.
The lecture was held in an open dialogue format: students had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss current engineering challenges with a practicing specialist. The event was part of the AUPET Alumni Club initiative, aimed at strengthening ties between university alumni and current students, as well as sharing professional experiences.
