Anniversary Reunion of "Electrical Networks and Systems" Alumni
On June 20, 2026, a milestone anniversary reunion was held for the alumni of the "Electrical Networks and Systems" specialty (groups ESS-81-1 and ESS-81-2). The event marked two memorable dates: the 45th anniversary of their enrollment and the 40th anniversary of their graduation.
Over the long years, many have moved to different cities across Kazakhstan and beyond, but the graduates never lost touch, remaining true to their student friendship and brotherhood. Nearly half of the students who once studied in these groups gathered at their alma mater, regardless of their current workplaces or positions. The day was filled with the joy of reunion, warmth, memories, and pleasant nostalgia.
Among the participants, many have achieved significant success in their professional careers. These include Yermakhanbet Tillabekovich Atakulov, Managing Director for Capital Construction and Operations at JSC "KEGOC"; Askar Almabekovich Tutubayev, who held senior positions in the Department of State Architectural and Construction Control (GASK) of Almaty, as well as the position of Deputy Akim of Taldykorgan Region; and other graduates who have made significant contributions to the development of the energy sector and public administration.
The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The alumni happily shared memories of their college years, discussed current professional issues and modern trends in the development of the energy industry, and highlighted the university's rapid growth, high reputation, and rankings.
As part of the event, a campus tour was organized for the guests. The graduates explored the changes in the educational institution's infrastructure, visited updated classrooms and laboratories, and met with faculty members, including some of their former professors. The highlight of the event was a tradition of the past three years — an absolute photo session in university gowns.
The anniversary reunion once again demonstrated the strong bond between generations of alumni and confirmed the significance of the university's long-standing traditions.
