Two flagships of energy education in China and Kazakhstan deepen their strategic partnership
A landmark event took place in Beijing, setting a new direction for the development of energy education and science in the region: the second meeting of the Steering Committee of the China-Central Asia Innovation Alliance in Electric Power.
The meeting's central event was the strengthening of the strategic alliance between industry leaders: the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev (AUPET) and the North China Electric Power University (NCEPU).
New Horizons of Integration:
* Voice of Leadership: In his speech, AUPET Rector Gani Nygymetov emphasized the critical importance of China's experience as a global leader in the energy sector.
* Elite Engineering Personnel: The parties formally confirmed the expansion of the "2+2" dual degree program and the launch of a unique project to train master's and doctoral students at the newly established Institute of Highly Qualified Engineers.
* Scientific Breakthrough: An application has been submitted to establish a joint energy laboratory at AUPET, funded under the global Belt and Road initiative. This project will provide a powerful foundation for the transfer of advanced technologies.
* International Scale: A quadripartite agreement has been signed to establish a practical base. In partnership with NCEPU, Xinjiang University, and the industrial giant Guo Dian, AUPET is opening the doors to its students in the laboratories and production sites of the future.
New members have also joined the Alliance: Termez State University of Engineering and Agricultural Technology (Uzbekistan), Xinjiang Electric Power Company, and Samruk-Energy, Kazakhstan's largest energy holding company.
