Huawei held a meeting with students of Energo University
On September 19, Huawei held a meeting with students at Energo University as part of its ICT Roadshow 2024 project, which covers 19 cities in Kazakhstan. The event aimed to promote information and communication technologies and support young talents in this field.
Participants were personally greeted by Tang Liang, Deputy General Director of Huawei in Kazakhstan, HR Director Dong Xiaocai, and Talent Ecosystem Development Manager Zhazira Kamashbek. They spoke about Huawei's global educational initiative aimed at developing and advancing digital skills among students and young professionals, how to participate in the global Huawei ICT Competition 2024-2025, and the opportunities available during and after training. Additionally, Huawei Academy graduates, now employed by the Chinese corporation, shared their success stories with the students.
Since 2019, one of the first Huawei Academies in Kazakhstan has been operating at Energo University. Today, it ranks among the top five in the country. Over the years, its trainers, Tatiana Golubeva and Viktor Tailakov, have trained more than 170 certified specialists under Huawei standards. Energo University students regularly represent Kazakhstan’s team at the global stage of Huawei competitions. For three consecutive years, our students have taken prize-winning positions in the final world stage. Information Security Systems student Nikolai Zhilyakov became the world stage winner for two consecutive years.
