Graduates met at Energо University
On January 27, a meeting with graduates of 2001-2002 was held at Energо University (Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev). Students of PEk-97-1 and PEk-96-1 (industrial electronics) came to remember their youth.
The non-standard and rich program of the meeting allowed the guests to plunge into the memories of their happy student years. They met with the rector of Energo University Murat Syzdykov, their teachers, the current generation of students and visited all the memorable places of the university for them. Passing through the corridors of the academic buildings where their youth was spent, graduates eagerly shared their memories, stopped next to familiar classrooms, recalled funny stories from their student life.
The Department of Work with Graduates, together with the Department of Physics and Electrical Engineering, prepared a surprise for the guests. Entering the laboratory named after the first head of the Department of Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Kim Gi-Shen (B 312) and seeing their teacher Malik Mamezhanovich Arshidinov, graduates learned that now they will have to remember not just the past, but to prove that their knowledge gained at the time in AIPET (Almaty Institute Power Engineering and Telecommunications) are really deep and strong.
Graduates of the Department of Industrial Electronics were invited to enter competition with the current generation of students and perform laboratory work on the theoretical foundations of electrical engineering at speed. Grown-up, respectable directors and engineers got a unique opportunity to plunge into their youth. They did it with joy and youthful excitement. So, they also won! Here are the names of the winners:

Tokeeva Lyazzat, PEk-97-1, BTcom, engineer.
The graduates really liked Building D, the assembly hall. They noted that the university is developing dynamically, as indicated by new equipment, modern stands, renovated classrooms. The guests talked about their successes, achievements and overcoming on the way to professional realization. Their stories have inspired current students and proved once again that our university is a reliable foundation for future leaders.
At the end of the meeting, all participants received memorable gifts from the university.
- We plan to make such meetings with our graduates of previous years permanent, - said Zarema Abdullina, Head of the Department of work with graduates of the Department of Youth Policy at Energo University. – We want this to become our good tradition.
