Energo University has its own nuclear power plant prototype
Professor Andrey Kibarine from the Department of Thermal Power Engineering at the Institute of Energy and Green Technologies of Energo University explains the operation of a nuclear power plant to students, demonstrating a prototype resembling the configuration of a station with VVER-1000-1200 reactors.
Interestingly, this model was developed by university students under the guidance of teachers long before the announcement of the referendum on the construction of a nuclear power plant. The creation of the station's prototype involved many people. Our future specialists in IT and robotics helped create 3D models of the cooling towers. The remaining elements were literally found, soldered, cut, and glued by students, graduate students, and staff of the Institute of Energy and Green Technologies.
Today, the station model is a ready visual aid that helps in mastering the curriculum.
