XVIII Republican Student Subject Olympiad in “Telecommunications”

On April 24, 2026, the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev hosted the second stage of the XVIII Republican Student Subject Olympiad in the educational program “6B062 – Telecommunications.”

A total of 29 students from 12 universities across Kazakhstan participated in the Olympiad. The participants represented the cities of Astana, Almaty, Karaganda, Ust-Kamenogorsk, and Petropavlovsk.

The Olympiad was conducted in the disciplines of Communication Theory, Circuit Theory, and Circuit Engineering. The competition tasks were completed in written form using an anonymized coding system to ensure objectivity and transparency in the evaluation process.

The opening ceremony was attended by the university administration, faculty members, and team supervisors. A cultural program and guest lecture were also organized for participants and guests as part of the event.

According to the results of the Olympiad, the winners were awarded first-, second-, and third-degree diplomas from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
