Energo University and Hanbat National University Agree to Expand Cooperation in Engineering Education
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Energo University and Hanbat National University (Republic of Korea) within the framework of the Central Asia–Republic of Korea Summit.
Hanbat National University is a public university located in Daejeon, one of South Korea's key scientific and technological hubs. The university holds strong positions in engineering and technological disciplines—including electronics, control and measurement systems, mechatronics, robotics, and intelligent systems—with a primary focus on practice-oriented training and industry collaboration.
During the talks, the parties discussed promising areas of academic and scientific cooperation, including the development of Double Degree programs in Instrumentation and Robotics, the expansion of academic mobility, the execution of joint research projects, and the organization of research internships for PhD candidates.
The signing of the Memorandum was part of a large-scale initiative to advance university partnerships between Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea. As part of the Summit today, a series of cooperation memorandums were concluded between Kazakh and Korean universities in the presence of Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
