Energo University and Nanjing Communication University have agreed to launch dual degree programs and expand their strategic partnership
During a working visit to China, Energo University Rector Gani Nygymetov met with Ms. Ye Meilan, President of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications. During the talks, the parties reached an agreement in principle to implement dual degree programs in a 2+2 format (two years of study in Kazakhstan and two years in China).
Joint educational programs are planned to be launched in the following areas:
* Communications and Telecommunications
* Information Technology
* Cybersecurity
* Artificial Intelligence
This strategic step is aimed at expanding academic opportunities and creating competitive advantages for Energo University students studying in these fields. Instruction at Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications will be in English.
A detailed Cooperation Agreement, as well as an Action Plan for the practical implementation of the agreements reached, will be signed between the heads of the two universities in the near future.
During the meeting, Nanjing Communication University President Ye Meilan also proposed exploring the possibility of opening a branch of NJUPT at Energo University (AUPET), which would mark a new stage of the institutional partnership and strengthen the university's international academic ecosystem.
Energo University is previously signed a similar agreement with North China Electric Power University, providing for the overseas training of energy students.
