STOP HIV: A Lecture Held at EU
Employees of the Department of Student Affairs at Energo University, in collaboration with the State-owned public enterprise with the rights of economic management "Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS" under the Department of Public Health of Almaty, organized a preventive lecture on the topic: "Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Preventive Measures." During the event, participants were informed about the nature of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), its history and discovery, as well as the ways the infection is transmitted.
Special attention was given to methods of prevention infection, including precautionary measures in daily life and medical recommendations. The discussion also covered the availability of HIV testing, the importance of early diagnosis, and modern treatment methods that allow individuals to control the virus and lead a full life.
The speakers emphasized the importance of combating the stigmatization and discrimination of people living with HIV, urging participants to show tolerance and respect. At the end of the event, participants had the opportunity to ask specialists their questions and receive the necessary consultations.
