EU representatives participated in a meeting on personnel training for the nuclear industry

The delegation of the Institute of Energy and Green Technologies of Energo University, headed by its director Yernar Amitov, took part in an expanded meeting of the educational and methodological association for the training of personnel in Physical and Chemical Sciences.

The meeting was held at the site of Al-Farabi KazNU. In addition to industry-specific colleges, representatives of the Committee for Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Department of Nuclear Energy and Industry of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Institute of Nuclear Physics, Kazakhstan Nuclear Power Plants, Kazatomprom, the National Nuclear Center and the Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear Technology Safety took part in it.

The issues of readiness and capabilities of universities, scientific and specialized organizations of Kazakhstan for the development of the nuclear industry were discussed: personnel training for it, the development of specialized educational programs, safety and much more.

During the discussions, Energo University experts noted the importance of starting training specialists for the industry now and stressed the need to provide students with the opportunity to practice at existing facilities.
