Energy University discussed partnership with French corporation TotalEnergies

Gani Nygymetov, Rector of Energo University, met with Thierry Plaisant, a representative of the global integrated energy company TotalEnergies. During the meeting, targeted personnel training for the wind generation project in Kazakhstan was discussed.

In Kazakhstan, TotalEnergies is one of the main shareholders of the North Caspian Project consortium, which is engaged in the development of the Kashagan oil field. In addition, TotalEnergies operates two solar power plants in Zhambyl and Kyzylorda regions with a total capacity of 128 MW.

Today, the company in the south of Kazakhstan is actively developing the Mirny project, an onshore wind power plant with a capacity of 1 GW with an energy storage system of 600 MWh. Specialists required for this project can be trained by Energo University, which has high-quality educational and research facilities.
