During the winter holidays, teachers of the Department of Languages at Energo University, Luara Sergeeva and Yulia Zasorina, with first-year students, attended an event at American Space dedicated to the topic of higher education.
The speaker of the meeting was Andrew Glass, Head of the External Commercial Department of the U.S. Consulate in Almaty. Before that, Andrew worked at an American university. He told the audience about the peculiarities of the higher education system in the USA, shared his knowledge and experience.
- Attending events where native English speakers speak allows our students to practice their language skills and assess their English language proficiency. I am glad that our students did not hesitate to ask Andrew Glass their questions," said Luara Sergeeva.
As noted at the Department of Languages, such events motivate students not only to learn English, but also to take their studies more seriously in general, to strive to gain in-depth knowledge in all subjects in order to continue their studies at foreign universities.
