In the Huawei ICT Competition 2024, teams including students from Energo University secured first place in the Computing Track and Network Track categories.
Kazakhstani students stood out among more than 31,000 participants from 19 countries in the Middle East and Central Asia region at the prestigious Huawei ICT Competition, held from December 15 to 19 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Following the national selection round, nine students from six universities represented Kazakhstan in the regional finals. In the Network Track category, Damir Abduganiyev, a student specializing in "Radio Engineering, Electronics, and Telecommunications" from the Department of Telecommunication Engineering at the Institute of Communication and Space Engineering, secured first place as part of his team. In the Computing Track category, students Amanzhan Sabyrgali and Zakir Daulbayev, specializing in "Information Security Systems" from the Department of Cybersecurity at the Institute of Automation and Information Technology, won first place as part of a team led by Huawei Academy instructor Tatyana Golubeva.
Now, the students and their mentor will represent the country at the global Huawei ICT Competition, scheduled to take place in Shenzhen, China, in May 2025. Congratulations and best wishes for future victories!
