Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev, as the only specialized university in Kazakhstan, has been training specialists for such an important industry as energy for almost 50 years.
Over the years, the university has graduated more than 20,000 electrical and thermal power engineers, many of whom today work in responsible positions in energy companies in the country and abroad, hold positions in the ministry, are responsible for the development of science and train specialized personnel for this fundamental branch of the economy.
Gani Nygymetov, Rector of Energo University, congratulated colleagues and guests on the Day of the Power Engineer and presented departmental awards.
