Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev (Energo University) and Xinxiang University signed an agreement on strategic cooperation. The document was officially approved during the working visit of the Energo University delegation to China by Rector Gani Nygymetov and President of the Chinese University Wang Xiaojun.
The partnership of leading Kazakh and Chinese technical universities involves the exchange of students, the organization of joint scientific internships, as well as the joint opening of an engineering laboratory for research in the field of electric vehicles and new batteries.
Xinxiang University is in Henan Province, a key center of China's automotive industry. Such world leaders in the production of electric vehicles as BYD and Yutong work here, which opens up great prospects for partnership in this area.
- The creation of a joint laboratory will be an important step for training specialists of the future and promoting research in the field of new energy, electric vehicle transport, which is today one of the most dynamically developing areas in the world, - said Gani Nygymetov.
Cooperation with China's leading technical university will strengthen Energo University's position in Central Asia and create new opportunities for students and teachers from both countries.
