A modern library with a reading room and a spacious coworking have opened their doors to students and staff of Energo University.
Since the summer of 2024, Energo University has been actively updating the university campus: halls, corridors, classrooms, laboratories and lecture halls have been renovated, furniture has been replaced, the assembly hall and bathrooms have been renovated. Today's opening of the new library (the reading room area is 180 sq. m. meters, capacity – up to 100 people) and a coworking space with a computer lab and meeting rooms (total area – more than 300 sq. m. meters, capacity - up to 120 people) became a logical continuation of this large-scale work. Especially for the opening of the new library, the university library fund was replenished with modern technical literature in Kazakh, Russian and English – in total more than 700 copies of books worth over 10 million tenge.
The new public spaces of Energo University will be open daily from 8:00 to 17:00 (except Saturdays and Sundays). And soon, it is planned to make the coworking work around the clock.
As the rector of Energo University Gani Nygymetov noted during a conversation with a representative of the student body, the updates are designed to make the learning process even more comfortable and productive. And the university's course on student-centricity will be continued. Next year, as part of the events dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the university, it is planned to open new laboratories and engineering coworking, as well as renovating the street space adjacent to the campus.
