A team of Energo University students from the Institute of Automation and Information Technology won the award of the Defense Tech Battle hackathon held in Astana.
The organizers of the hackathon on the development of advanced solutions in the field of defense and security were the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Defense Tech Innovation Center, and the Talap Center for Applied Research. Astana Hub and Lenovo supported the project.
The jury, which, by the way, included Deputy Defense Minister Darkhan Akhmediev, awarded five projects. Among them is the work of the Energo University team to create a chatbot to determine the emotional state of military personnel based on the collected data and analysis of the results. The award for the developers was a cash prize from the joint stock company "Kazakhstan GIS Center". Congratulations to the team: 4th year students of the specialty "Information Systems" Dmitry Sinishin and Sergey Shiryaev, 3rd year student of the specialty "Computer Engineering and Software" Damir Mertl and head, professor-practitioner of the Department of IT Engineering and Artificial Intelligence Azamat Kalpebaev.
