Rector of Energo University, Gani Nygymentov, as part of the official delegation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited China.
The delegation, led by Minister Sayasat Nurbek, included nine rectors from the country’s leading universities. The main purpose of the visit was to study China's experience in the digitalization of the higher education system, where Huawei plays a significant role.
During the visit, the Kazakh delegation visited key offices of the company. At Huawei's headquarters in Shenzhen, the rectors were introduced to cutting-edge innovations, including solutions for digital classrooms and cloud platforms. They also visited Huawei's exhibition hall showcasing innovative solutions for digital transformation, Huawei Cloud data center, and Huawei's research and development center in Dongguan. Special attention was given to the demonstration of the Smart Classroom, a modern concept of digital classrooms.
The visit concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Huawei Technologies Kazakhstan, opening new opportunities for the digital transformation of higher education in Kazakhstan.
Notably, since 2019, one of the best Huawei Academies in the country has been successfully operating at Energo University, allowing students to be trained as top-tier specialists in the IT field.
