A student of Energo University won the Kickboxing World Cup!
The first place and gold medal of the Kickboxing World Cup was won by Zhalgas Ulanuly, a student of Energo University at the Institute of Automation and Information Technologies, studying in the "Automation and Control" educational program.
In 2024, one of the most prestigious international kickboxing tournaments – the World Cup – took place in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. According to official information, more than 1,200 athletes from 53 countries participated in this prestigious competition.
Energo University student Zhalgas Ulanuly was unbeatable in his weight category and took the top spot on the podium, winning the gold medal. Second place went to a kickboxer from Kyrgyzstan, and third to an athlete from Uzbekistan. Thus, Zhalgas repeated his success from 2023, when he also became the winner of the World Cup held in Istanbul.
Zhalgas enrolled at Energo University in 2024 on a grant for the "Automation and Control" educational program, scoring 109 points on the Unified National Testing (ENT).
