Energo University has won the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program’s 2024 award in the category “for gender-oriented climate actions.”
The purpose of the award is to recognize individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to promoting gender equality in the context of sustainable development, climate adaptation, and mitigation in the Central Asian region.
As noted by Ainur Begimbetova, Director of the Institute of Energy and Green Technologies at Energo University, the university received this high honor for its participation in energy transition projects aimed at achieving sustainable development goals and for its contribution to empowering women in the energy sector of Central Asia.
The winners will be recognized at the awards ceremony at the CAREC Women’s Business Forum, which will take place in Astana on November 6.
