At Energo University, a guest lecture was given by Professor Muslim Arici, PhD, from the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kocaeli University (Izmit, Turkey), on the topic "The Role of Thermal Energy Systems in Ensuring Energy Security."
The lecture was attended by faculty and students from two institutes – the Institute of Automation and Information Technologies and the Institute of Energy and Green Technologies.
Muslim Arici noted that today, thermal energy systems play a key role in ensuring the energy security of countries and regions. They provide reliable and stable production of electricity as well as the heat necessary for heating residential and industrial buildings.
The foreign expert focused on the main functions of thermal energy systems, their reliability, and resilience. The professor also discussed energy source diversification, its connection to economic stability, and addressed environmental aspects within the ongoing global climate change.
