The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the status of a teacher” can be called historical, as it protects the rights of teachers. Undoubtedly, the new law will increase the prestige of the teaching profession and this, in turn, will attract more high-quality personnel in the field of education.
The profession of a teacher has always been and will be one of the most important in our society, since the future depends on the level of his professionalism and competence. Raising the status of teachers is an increase in the prestige of the country. As the great Abai Kunanbayev said: “One can judge the morality of a person by his teacher.”
We believe that the Law was adopted in a timely manner and is important. All standards that will qualitatively improve the position of teachers are approved. The profession will become more attractive to young people, the younger generation. This is relevant when you consider that currently there is a shortage of personnel. This law allows to stimulate youth. An increase in salaries for teachers by 25% from this year is prescribed by law.
In addition to the potential increase in competition, the innovations provided for by the new law can motivate educators. For example, a new state award ” Kazakstannyn enbek sinirgen ustazy” appeared. The winner will receive a lump sum of 1,000 monthly calculation indices (2.651 million tenge). The teacher who prepared the winner or medalist of the international Olympiad will receive a bonus of three official salaries. Also, teachers of rural areas have priority right to land granted to teachers from rural areas. Each article is enshrined in regulatory legal acts. They will be executed and will not remain on paper.

Also, the prestige of the profession of teachers was reduced by the fact that they were often attracted to unusual functions or might require reports not related to educational activities. Now, for attracting a teacher to unusual functions, for requiring unexpected reporting, as well as for inspections not prescribed by law, there is a warning or a fine.
The adopted law can be assessed as aimed at creating opportunities for the individual development of the teacher and improving the education system as a whole.
