PTF Renewable Energy Curriculum implemented in AUPET
Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications implemented Renewable Energy Curriculum developed by USAID Power the Futrue program experts. The course allows the students to learn best practices and global case studies on renewable energy.
The following courses were added to the undergraduate curriculum for students of 2-4 years. All syllabuses are linked.
Electrical Engineering program:
- Using renewable energy sources
- Alternative energy and energy saving technologies
- Power stations and sub-stations
- Electricity transfer
- Calculations of power and system modes
Renewable energy sources module:
- Renewable energy electrical installations
- Assessment of renewable energy potential
- Design of power supply systems for remote consumers
Energy supply of agriculture program:
New disciplines were also introduced for graduate students:
- Solar and geothermal electric power
- Complexes of electric power systems using renewable energy sources with cyclical changes in wind potential
- Synthesis and automatic control of hybrid electric power system
