Message from the rector of AUPET Sagintayeva S.S. on the transition to distance learning ⠀
Dear students!
On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization officially announced the worldwide COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. In this regard, the head of state Kassym-Zhomart Tokaev turned to compatriots. The President announced that the authorities began to implement special preventive measures against a dangerous infection.
In particular, universities will switch to distance learning, including AUPET
In connection with the introduction of a number of restrictions in the country related to the coronavirus epidemic, the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications decided on the following measures to prevent this disease among students, employees and faculty of the university:
1. from March 13 a ban on mass events is introduced
Canceled:
- Reporting performance "Dance club";
- celebration of Nauryz;
- “Spring of AUPET”;
- “MuzEnergy” has been moved to the next semester;
- A number of conferences, meetings and round tables.
2. All foreign internships and trips on academic mobility programs are canceled.
3. From March 16, restrictions on access to hostels and educational buildings by unauthorized persons, including parents and relatives of students, are introduced. ⠀
4. Electronic cards of students will be blocked for visiting educational buildings.
5. From March 16, training at AUES and college is transferred to the distance format:
- All training materials (calculation and graphic tasks and semester works) will be posted on the website: http://edu2.aues.kz/
- Classes will be held in accordance with the schedule using the Platonus and Moodle platforms.
- Everyone logs on to the platform in accordance with a personal login and password.
- Instructions for working on remote technologies will be communicated to each student.
- Final tests will be carried out in accordance with the schedule of the educational process.
- Depending on the duration of the restrictions (the timing is determined by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan), decisions will be made on accepting state examinations, sessions, and diploma defending.
Distance learning is an even more difficult option to study, as it will require utmost discipline. Opportunities to ask for a respite from the teacher will not be!

2. All news and announcements will be posted on the university’s website, therefore, at least once a day, you need to go to the website, get acquainted with the news and, accordingly, complete tasks.
