On April 14, the regular online meeting of the Academic Council of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after G. Daukeev took place.
On the agenda the planned issues of organizing an examination session, the approval of modular educational programs, working curricula and catalogs of elective disciplines, as well as the issue of changes and additions to the Academic Policy, taking into account the changes in the organization of training in connection with the transition to the distance format were considered.
In addition to the issues on the main agenda, a number of topical issues that arose during the work of the University in the context of the emergency mode were discussed. Questions of organization of practice and final certification of students; providing financial assistance to orphans or those left in care; students who have had tuberculosis; students with special needs; granting students deferred tuition fees were among them.
As a result of the discussion, decisions aimed at eliminating as much as possible all the complex issues arising from both students and the teaching staff were adopted.
