At the Olympics in the specialty "Automation and Control" the best students will be determined

On April 23 and 24, the Republican Subject Olympiad in the specialty "Automation and Control" is held in Kazakhstan. Organizer - Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev.

The right to hold the Olympics AUPET named after G. Daukeeva received on the basis of the previous Olympics, which took place in 2019 in Ust-Kamenogorsk at the East Kazakhstan State Technical University. Then the representatives of AUPET took first, second and third places.

The Republican Subject Olympiad in the specialty "Automation and Control" is held annually for many years. But for the first time it takes place remotely in connection with the quarantine declared in Kazakhstan. This year, the Olympiad is held on the basis of the Department of Automation and Control of the Institute of Control Systems and Information Technologies of the AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeev.

Despite the new, unusual conditions, the composition of the participants has increased compared to previous years. Students from 13 universities from 8 cities and regions of Kazakhstan - Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Karaganda, Taraz, Atyrau, Pavlodar, Turkestan and Uralsk participate in the subject Olympiad.

Students of national universities - Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K. I. Satpayev and Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov and leading regional universities in which training is carried out in the specialty "Automation and Control" took part in the subject Olympiad.

 Participants were asked to choose tickets, each of which included three questions: 1 - on the subject “Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering”; 2 - on the subject "Linear automatic control systems"; 3 - on the subject "Nonlinear automatic control systems."

The Olympics are held in two stages. The first is written, each participant has been given 60 minutes to complete the ticket assignment. At the second stage, the participants will have to explain and protect the tasks performed during the online interview. According to the results of the subject Olympiad, winners will be determined, both in the individual competition - 1 first place, 2 second places and 3 third, and in the team competition.
