AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeev was one of the first in the republic on April 24, 2020 to organize a discussion of the low-carbon development strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2050 under the project of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) “Supporting the Green Economy in Kazakhstan and Central Asia for a low-carbon economic development”.
An online lecture on the theme: “Decarbonization of the economy: international experience and Kazakhstan” with the participation of international experts from the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan was aimed at attracting interested specialists, the wide scientific community to the feasibility of introducing the low-carbon path of economic development in Kazakhstan and assessing the impact of such a transition on the economy, social sphere and environment.
One of the speakers of the online lecture was a prominent specialist in the field of decarbonization of the economy, environmental scientist Yulkin Mikhail Anisimovich, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Director General of the Center for Ecological Investments of Russia (Moscow), international expert in the field of green economy, the topic of the lecture "The international experience of decarbonization of the economy."
