On April 30, 2020, an online lecture was held at the Department of Engineering Ecology and Labor Safety at the Institute of Heat Power Engineering and Thermal Engineering of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev. Participants: Master of Technical Sciences, leading engineer of the ecology department of SMART Engineering LLP, member of the Association of Practicing Ecologists of Kazakhstan Timur Mikhailovich Sapaev and teachers, students of Master’s degree programs and undergraduates of the university.
The topic of online lectures is devoted to pressing issues of the legal application of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and environmental management systems. On the usual “case” of the medium-sized enterprise, the development of environmental documentation, obtaining title documents, conducting industrial environmental monitoring were considered. Among the environmental documentation, the stages of environmental impact assessment, draft standards for emissions, passing the state environmental review and comprehensive examination, filing an application and obtaining a permit for emissions were discussed. Among other things, the concept of the new Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a fundamental difference from the current one and a number of other issues close to the topic were considered.
