On May 28, in AUPET, an online round table  \"Systematic solutions to environmental problems\" was held  

On May 28, an online round table “Systematic solutions to environmental problems” with the participation of Gita Valdovna Revalde, president of the Non-Profit Joint-Stock Company “Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunication,” as well as representatives of the Almaty Department of Ecology and partners of the Engineering Ecology and Labor Safety Department  was held at university .

The main speakers of the round table were: Zhakezhanova Ardak Bigazievna, leading specialist of the Kazakhstan Association for Waste Management “KazWaste”, Anisimova Natalya Mikhailovna - national expert of the Center for Assistance to Sustainable Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Begimbetova Dinara Aitbaevna - Phd, associate professor, leading researcher at the Laboratory of Translational Medicine and technologies of life sciences of the Center for life sciences of  private institution "National Laboratory Astana" autonomous educational organization "Nazarbayev University".

Zhakezhanova Ardak Bigazievna, in her report “Problems and Prospects for the Development of the Waste Management Industry” touched upon the topic of separate collection of waste and timely disposal. She told the audience about the activities of the Kazakhstan Association for Waste Management “KazWaste”. The main strategic goals of the association are: support of the waste management business, improvement of the waste management system in the Republic of Kazakhstan, establishment of close interaction of enterprises among themselves to effectively solve common problems.

Anisimova Natalya Mikhailovna, in her report “Experience in Implementing a Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (PRTR)”, explained in detail the relevance of introducing and developing a pollutant release and transfer register. The purpose of the register is to study each enterprise as a contributor to the general pollution of both atmospheric air and water sources. Information about the number of enterprises that provided data for the pollutant release and transfer register for the Republic of Kazakhstan, about changes in the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan that obliged nature users to fill out the pollutant release and transfer register was provided. Detailed reporting forms for the pollutant release and transfer register have been submitted.

Begimbetova Dinara Aitbaevna in her report "Environmental pollution and global health" spoke in detail about the activities of the laboratory of translational medicine and life sciences technologies of the Center for Life Sciences of private institution "National Laboratory Astana" autonomous educational organization "Nazarbayev University”.  In this laboratory, modern studies of the impact on human health of such physical factors as electromagnetic fields, as well as the concentration of pesticides in cultivated crops, are carried out.

All reports were listened with interest. A lively discussion took place; the development paths of a joint venture with the Non-Profit Joint-Stock Company “Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev” were outlined.
