WE ARE PATRIOTS!
The Day of State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which we celebrate, is a holiday of unity of the nation and achievements of
independence of the country
The history of the state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan is closely connected with the latest history of our country. New state symbols of sovereign Kazakhstan were approved after independence. June 4, 1992 will forever remain in our history and in the memory of the people as their birthday. Today, the symbols of Kazakhstan are recognizable all over the world, which causes pride for their country, fosters a sense of patriotism. What is patriotism? This is love for the Motherland and the people, devotion and willingness to defend the Fatherland in difficult times, pride with the achievements of their country, memory of the history of the Motherland, the desire to preserve the inherited traditions and the hankering for a bright future. This feeling of affection for those places where a person was born and raised, respectful attitude to the mother tongue and the state symbols of the Republic. For patriotism, you need to know the history of your country, be proud of your ancestors, strive to be worthy of them. We, modern Kazakhstanis, have something to be proud of: an open, good-natured, tolerant people; beautiful nature; rich story; high intellectual potential; promising, educated youth.
Patriotism is formed in the process of training, socialization and education. This is manifested in actions and in human activity. Arising out of love for their small Motherland, patriotic feelings, having gone through a number of stages on the way to their maturity, rise to the national patriotic identity, to the realization of love for the Motherland, for one’s Fatherland. Nowadays, the ideas of patriotic education are determined by the state policy strategy in choosing the value-purpose settings of the life of the society, by the variety of updated educational structures. Patriotism, love for the motherland, in our country is especially pronounced during the years of trials: a sacrificial attitude to duty, a willingness to faithfully serve the cause of the prosperity of the Fatherland. It is the duty of each of us to value and respect the Flag, National emblem and Anthem of our Republic. They will be recognized and welcomed with us all over the world. Symbols are integral attributes of our state, embodying the identity and sovereignty of the country. Symbols of the country accompany each of us throughout our life's journey. During official ceremonies and events, they raise the national flag and perform the country's anthem, showing who we are and what we are. At competitions, the symbols show that you are not alone and that behind your back is your People and Homeland, who support you.
Kazakhstan is multinational, and this is another advantage, because we are all one, and we are united by our Motherland, friendship, respect and a common culture. More than seventeen million people, representatives of more than one hundred nationalities live in Kazakhstan. All Kazakhstanis have one past, one present, one future. Now the century of the new generation has come. The future of Kazakhstan is in the hands of the young. For this, young people must remain the bearers of their native culture, it must be enriched, but not depersonalized. Our today's task is to foster citizenship, patriotism, the formation of respect for the Constitution, laws and state symbols of the Republic, and the preservation of the country's historical and cultural heritage. The time of independence of the republic showed that the surest way is the transition to the civil status of society, the formation of a single people in Kazakhstan becomes the core of the national idea.
We, Kazakhstanis, are one people. And our common destiny is our Mengilik El, our worthy and great Kazakhstan. "Mengilik El" is a national idea of our common Kazakhstan home, a dream of our ancestors.
