In an appeal to the Rector of AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeev Saule Sagintayeva, Shell company thanked the team of AUPET students for their participation and noted the high level of training:

As a thank you, we charge your students $ 2,000 for participation and personal expenses that they incurred during the trip to the marathon. We ask you to pass this gift from us to your students. We thank you for your continued support and interest in the Shell Eco-Marathon. We will be waiting for you and your team at the marathon next year. ”
