Strict quarantine was extended until August 2 by the Prime Minister
Prime Minister Askar Mamin announced a decision to extend strict quarantine until August 2.
"There is a second week of strict restrictive quarantine measures. The incidence rate is stabilizing. On the proposal of the Ministry of Health to further stabilize the epidemiological situation, we decided to extend the restrictive measures in the republic for another two weeks from July 20 to August 2," Mamin said at a government meeting.
He urged Kazakhstanis to strictly adhere to quarantine requirements.
"The Ministry of Health, akimats and interested state bodies should implement all measures for further observance of quarantine. The necessary supply of medicines is available and is constantly replenished. It is necessary to ensure all measures for their clear distribution in pharmacy chains and hospitals," the Prime Minister instructed.
Earlier, President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev spoke about the extension of strict quarantine in Kazakhstan.
