"Automation and Control" - courses for applicants entering to the Master’s Degree Programs

Courses for admission to the the Master’s Degree Programs in the specialty "Automation and Control" has begun to work at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev.

The courses will be held at the Department “Automation and Control,” which is part of the Institute of Control Systems and Information Technologies.

 As you know, this year the entrance exams for the Master’s Degree Programs for the second time will be held on the same principle as the Unified National Testing. That is, grants are now allocated not to specific universities, but to specialties.

For the specialty "Automation and Control" this year for the entire republic the grants to the Master’s Degree Programs were allocated the same as last year - 200. Graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree Programs from AUPET in 2019 were able to become holders of more than 30 grants in the specialty "Automation and Control" and they are now studying at various universities in the country.

Testing in this specialty includes questions in three subjects - a Foreign Language, Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering and Linear Automatic Control Systems. Courses for applicants to the Master’s Degree Programs will cover 2 specialized subjects - Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering and Linear Automatic Control Systems. For each of these subjects, the quantity of classes is 18 hours. The total quantity is 36 hours. Classes will be held online. They will be conducted by teachers who have extensive teaching experience in this subject and successful preparation for an external assessment of educational achievements.

Preparation courses for admission to the Master’s Degree Programs in the specialty "Automation and Control" will be held from July 22 to August 2. In addition to the Department of Automation and Control, two more AUPET structures - the Institute for Advanced Studies and the Department “PhD and Master's Degree programs” take part in their organization.
