The autumn semester at AUPET is beginning in a distance format for students in IT areas and in a mixed format for students of technical specialties. The university is ready for the new academic year.

The experience of the last academic year showed that there were problems with the technical supply of students and their readiness to study in a distance format. Today 185,000 students in the republic do not have computers. Considering this fact, AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeev has presented 800 laptops to its first-year students.

The action was held within the framework of the 45th anniversary of the university. Students received Lenovo laptops with the latest processor generation for their high performance in the National Unified Test.

It should also be noted that this year the number of applicants for a state educational grant has been over 80 thousand people. Of these, 1,967 Kazakhstani applicants will be able to get higher education free of charge at the expense of the state at our Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev.
