Specialty "Automation and Control" - AUPET has confirmed its high level!

Applicants who chose the specialty "Automation and Control" have received the most state grants at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev.

In 2020, 720 grants under the bachelor's program for a group of educational programs in automation as a whole in Kazakhstan were allocated. 45 (!) Higher educational institutions from various regions of the country applied for them.

Almost half of the students - grant holders (343) have chosen the educational program "Automation and Control" of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev. In this group of educational programs, AUPET confidently took first place, ahead of all, including the largest national universities: KazNU - Al-Farabi National State University; ENU - Eurasian National University named after Lev Gumilyov; KazNRTU - Kazakh National Research University named after Kuanysh Satpayev.

In addition, 74 applicants entered the AUPET for a paid department for the specialty "Automation and Control". Thus, 417 students will study in the first year of this educational program in the 2020-2021 academic year. There is every reason to say that this success is natural. AUPET has traditionally held leading positions in the republic in the dispute over grants for many years. For example, in 2019, 240 applicants who chose the educational program "Automation and Control" of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications became holders of state grants. Even against the backdrop of last year's success, the current achievement can be assessed as another breakthrough. And this is a confirmation that AUPET is one of the most competitive and reputable universities in Kazakhstan in terms of its profile.

Training on this educational program is carried out at the AUPET on the basis of the Department of Automation and Control. Until 2017, the Department was called - "Engineering Cybernetics". The department has been training automation specialists for over 30 years - since 1988.
