B. Sagintayev reported on measures to implement the instructions of the Head of State, set out in the Message to the people of Kazakhstan.

In a live broadcast of the Akimat Live program on the TV channel “Almaty”, the akim of the city B. Sagintayev emphasized that the akimat's work was focused on solving the problems of forced digitalization of the civil service, optimizing costs, as well as increasing preparedness for epidemiological crises and other Emergencies.

B. Sagintayev noted that in terms of economic development in the new realities, the city needs a transition from a simple "trade" economy to an intellectual one. Earlier in the Strategy Almaty-2050, a “structural maneuver” was proposed, the purpose of which is to develop sectors of the economy with high added value. These are finance, ICT, creative industries, tourism, logistics and distribution.

Since the start of the pandemic, support of entrepreneurs has been increased. In accordance with the instruction of the President, the toolkit of support measures will be expanded.

Particular attention is paid to solving social issues of the townspeople. 16.5 thousand Needy families will be provided with apartments in the field of housing construction in the next 5 years (2021-2025). So, the construction of 363.2 thousand square meters of rental housing, or 6,487 apartments, with the construction of engineering infrastructure is planned for this period. About 5 thousand apartments will be put into operation under the Program "Bakytty otbasy".

Under the program "Ansagan sabi" announced by the President, specialists of the public health department will audit the queue of quotas for Extra Corporate Insemination. If necessary, this list will be updated so that families who really need it receive help.

419 preschool organizations for 19,980 places are planned to be built in the city within 5 years to ensure full coverage of children with preschool education. Of these, 413 will be public and 400 private. Also, 6 kindergartens will be seismically strengthened and overhauled.

For the development of mass sports, the provision of Almaty residents with sports infrastructure is planned to be increased to 75.4% in the next 5 years. More than 600 thousand city townspeople will be covered by this program, and the number of residents who systematically go in for sports - up to 33%.

In order to protect the environment and ecological development, the work on landscaping within the “Jasyl Almaty” will be strengthened. At the same time, work on transferring the private sector to natural gas, as well as boiler houses of the city of small and medium capacity, will continue. Special attention will be paid to the ecological education of the younger generation.
