“Health Minister Aleksey Tsoi announced new restrictions in Kazakhstan in connection with the coronavirus pandemic,” Tengrinews.kz correspondent reports.

"In order to prevent the import of infection into Kazakhstan, the interdepartmental commission agreed on the following decisions from October 5, 2020.

1. To suspend the resumption of flights with other countries.

2. Not to increase the number of flights with countries those have resumed air traffic.

3. To reduce the number of flights to Turkey.

For persons arriving from countries of the second category, establish such mandatory requirements as thermometry, questioning, the presence of a certificate of examination for coronavirus, from the date of receipt of which no more than three days have passed. In the absence of certificates, the arrivals are isolated in the hospital for up to two days for laboratory tests for COVID-19, "the minister said at an online briefing of the Central Communications Service.

He noted that after receiving the results of laboratory tests for coronavirus, persons with a positive result will be transferred to an infectious diseases hospital, with a negative result - they will follow to their destination.

Similar requirements will apply to persons crossing the state border at checkpoints at road crossings with the EAEU countries and Uzbekistan.
