Within the framework of the event \"Freshman Decade\", the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling held an Olympiad in mathematics

Support for talented youth is one of the priority areas of activity of  AUPET named after G. Daukeev. The subject Olympiad among 1st year students of all specialties, organized by the Department  “Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling”, requires from participants to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in the field of school mathematics. The tasks of the Olympiad develop the general culture of students, improve their communication skills. This has a positive effect on professional training. Objectives of the Olympiad: test erudition and basic knowledge; the ability of students to apply the acquired knowledge in practice; increased interest in the study of mathematics; identifying the most gifted students.

Within the framework of the event "Freshman's Decade", the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling held an Olympiad in mathematics in two rounds:

Round I was held in study groups on September 25. 1st year students of all specialties took part. 10 tasks from the school mathematics course, compiled in MS Teams in the form of a test, were offered to students.

Round II took place on September 28. 250 students who scored 10 out of 10 points in the 1st round took part.

The final of the Mathematics Olympiad was held on September 30, 2020 (18.00-19.00). The participants in the final round of the Olympiad were students who scored 5 out of 5 points in the II round:

The final was held ONLINE on the MS Teams platform. The participants were divided into 3 teams of 4-5 students each. The work of each team was observed by two teachers of the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling: professor Baisalova M.Zh., senior teacher Toleuova B.Zh., associate professor Mustayapov A.O., associate professor Kim R.E., associate professor Vasilina G.K., associate professor Masanova A.Zh., senior teacher Esbotaeva E.S.

The commission evaluated the work and summed up the results:

1st place - Amir Kydyraliev, student of the group RETk-20-6

2nd place - Myrzaly Kadyr, student of the group EEк-20-7

3rd place - Seydualiev Kemal, student of the  group EE-20-15
