Signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, National Esports Student Association and Qazaq Cybersport Federation on the support and development of student eSports in the Republic of Kazakhstan

General Secretary of the OO "National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan" AA Kryukov, President of the ALE "National Association for Student Cybersport" Nurpeisov AE and Vice-President of the RPA "Qazaq Cybersport Federation" Bogatyrev E.A. signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of student eSports in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main goals of cooperation between the parties are to support and develop student eSports in Kazakhstan as part of the international sports movement, promote sports and information culture in the student environment, establish and develop relations with domestic and foreign universities, and implement joint projects in the field of eSports.

Within the framework of cooperation for 2020-2021. the partners have identified the creation and development of the Kazakhstan Esports Student League as their top priority. The creation of the league is a big step in the development of e-sports in Kazakhstan, which will not only give a system-forming impetus to the development of the e-sports community in Kazakhstan, but will also open up many young talents. The goal of the project will be to organize and conduct tournaments in e-sports disciplines among university students, to assist in the popularization of student e-sports and the development of its types.

The student eSports league will be held on a permanent basis and will consist of four seasons.

The first season starts in October 2020. It will be attended by the teams of seven universities - members of the National Association for Student Cybersport: Astana IT University, AUES, IITU, KBTU, KazNU, Satbayev University, UIB. The prize fund of the first season will be 1,000,000 tenge.

Entry into the National Association for Student Esports for Universities will be open from the second season of the tournament.

The ALE "National Esports Student Association" was established at the initiative of the Halyk Charitable Foundation jointly with the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Nursultan Nazarbayev Education Foundation, with the support of the Qazaq Cybersport Federation.

The initiative of the project participants - the National Esports Student Association, uniting the largest and most prestigious universities in the country, is aimed at increasing the interest of the student audience in the Olympic Games and sports in general, promoting Olympic values ​​among the student environment and creating conditions for the popularization of sports culture.

Qazaq Cybersport Federation, accredited by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, will provide a high level of organization of tournaments and open the way for student teams to the world of great eSports.
