“The new resolution of the country's chief sanitary doctor Yerlan Kiyasov has been published on the website of the Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan,” Tengrinews.kz reports.

The decree concerns the further strengthening of measures to prevent coronavirus infection at checkpoints on the state border of Kazakhstan.

The country's chief medical officer decided:

akims, heads of health departments of regions, the cities of Almaty, Nur-Sultan, Shymkent, central state bodies, the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control in Transport to ensure:

1) carrying out activities in relation to persons arriving by flights from abroad to the Republic of Kazakhstan in the following order:

all arrivals when crossing the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan are required to submit a certificate of passing the COVID-19 test by the PCR method, from the date of issuance of the result of which no more than 3 days have passed at the time of crossing the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the exception of children under 5 years old if certificates from the persons accompanying them; government delegations of the Republic of Kazakhstan; members of official delegations of foreign states and international organizations arriving in the Republic of Kazakhstan at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan; employees of diplomatic missions, consular offices and representations of international organizations accredited in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and their family members; airline crews;

restrictive measures against persons arriving on international passenger flights from abroad to the Republic of Kazakhstan are carried out in accordance with Appendix 1 to this Resolution, with the exception of government delegations of the Republic of Kazakhstan; members of official delegations of foreign states and international organizations arriving in the Republic of Kazakhstan at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan; employees of diplomatic missions, consular offices and representations of international organizations accredited in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and their family members; airline crews;

passengers traveling internationally do not leave the transit zone and are subject to restrictive measures at their final destination;

employees of diplomatic missions, consular offices and representative offices of international organizations accredited in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and their family members arriving in the Republic of Kazakhstan from abroad, are subject to laboratory examination for COVID-19 at the place of residence / stay An explanation is carried out with them about the possible symptoms of COVID-19 with the receipt of an appropriate receipt in accordance with Appendix 3 to this resolution.

In addition, the decree regulates the conduct of measures in relation to persons arriving in Kazakhstan through checkpoints across the state border on railway, sea, river transport and auto crossings.

Airline executives are tasked with ensuring:

1) not allow passengers who are not citizens of Kazakhstan to board the aircraft in the absence of a certificate;

2) conducting questionnaires of passengers and crew during the flight, including checking the completeness of filling, in cases of incomplete filling, conduct an additional questionnaire;

3) immediate transfer of the completed questionnaires, manifest and general declaration of the aircraft to the specialist of the sanitary and quarantine point at the airport of arrival;

4) observance of a safe distance between passengers (at least 1 meter) and mask mode during check-in, embarkation and disembarkation from the aircraft;

5) availability of personal protective equipment (masks, gloves), hand antiseptics, disinfectants on board the aircraft;

6) during a flight in the cabin of an aircraft, restricting the movement of passengers, as well as congestion at the toilet;

7) admission to work of employees in the presence of personal protective equipment (medical masks, gloves);

8) conducting a pre-shift (pre-flight) medical examination of employees with body temperature measurement;

9) before the resumption of regular international air traffic, conduct an audit of air conditioning, ventilation systems and replacement of filters on aircraft.

Earlier, the chief state sanitary doctor for transport, Sadvakas Baigabulov, said that Kazakhstanis returning to their homeland would not be allowed on a flight without PCR analysis.
