Happy the International Day of Information Security!

We congratulate the faculty, students of the Institute of Information Technologies and everyone involved in one of the most demanded professions of our time, on their professional holiday - The International Day of Information Security!

We wish you a bright mind, every minute inspiration, spiritual light; never lose enthusiasm, courage and dedication. Let every event end in victory, and let every step be directed towards success.

Every year on November 30, The International Day of Information Security is celebrated. The date was not chosen by chance, because it was on this day in 1988 that the first massive cyber-attack took place. Created by a graduate student at Cornell University (USA) Robert Morris (Robert Morris), one of the first network worms in history paralyzed the work of 6 thousand nodes of the ARPANET network (the prototype of the modern Internet) in the USA.

Later, the malicious software was called the "Morris worm", and net users first thought about the vulnerability of the data stored on their computers. To raise awareness of cyber security issues, the Association for Computing Machinery has established The International Day of Information Security
