The beginning of the Classes in the 2nd semester

Information for students of all courses:

Classes in the 2nd semester at all AUPET courses will begin on the 1^st of February in a mixed mode.

Nonresident students of the second and senior years can study completely online without coming to Almaty.

All lectures and seminars in all courses of blended learning will be held remotely (online). Only laboratory work will take place offline, but in compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements: only 4 people from a group will have access to laboratory classes on a sliding shift schedule, the rest of the students will participate online.The students have to wear medical masks during the entire period of their stay at the university. The students who came without masks are not allowed to enter the university.

Places in the hostel are allocated in priority order for 1st year students!

Information for 1 course students only:

The Dormitories are ready to accept 1-year students, taking into account the decrease in the total number of places for maintaining social distance.

To provide remote study in the hostel, the freshmen have to bring a personal laptop or computer. There are public computers in the hostel. You can study remotely via a smartphone, but a personal laptop (computer) will be more effective.

Since social and humanitarian disciplines are mainly studied in the 1st year, all classes in them will be in a distance format, except for seminars.And only in Physics will it be necessary to carry out laboratory work in a mixed format. Only 4 freshmen from the group have access to the laboratory on a sliding shift schedule. Disciplines of IT-direction "Fundamentals of Algorithmization and Programming", "Design in AutoCAD, Solid Works", "Fundamentals of Computer Graphics" freshmen will study completely remotely.

To come to Almaty by the 1^st of February or not - you must decide on your own. You should consult with your parents, and take into account the constantly changing epidemiological situation as well as the absence of signs of viral diseases.  

Nonresident freshmen must, by January 17, 2021 (by 23:55), write an application and send a photo ONLY from their corporate mail to the directorate of their institute with a mandatory signature - a parental consent visa, choosing one of two options:

1) studying completely remotely from your home with independent and full technical support for online studies due to the difficult epidemiological situation and the presence of signs of viral diseases;

2) blended learning with arrival in Almaty and settling in a hostel.
