The places in the hostel are allocated on a priority basis to 1st year students. If the vacant places are available, they can be provided to students-beneficiaries and students from other courses.
In accordance with the introduction of amendments to the order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 13, 2020 No. 345 "On approval of the Methodological Recommendations for the implementation of the educational process in educational institutions during the period of restrictive measures related to the spread of coronavirus infection" the university changed the order of settling in the hostels:
1. Since paragraph 36 of the order was supplemented with subparagraph 19: "to determine the need for settling in hostels and to carry out work on the placement of students until the spring semester with 50% occupancy of rooms", the hostels are ready to accept 1-year students, taking into account the decrease in the total number of places to maintain social distance and quarantine norms.
2. When checking-in into a hostel, students must submit a certificate for COVID 19 (received no later than 3 days before check-in, in their city or in Almaty) and a certificate of form No. 086 (copy) and fluorography.If you do not have a COVID 19 certificate, you can get it upon arrival in Almaty at the Student Clinic - free of charge.
3. The cost of living in hostels in connection with changes in the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 345 dated August 13, 2020 may increase.
4. To get a place in a hostel, a student must contact office 120A (building A).
To come to Almaty by the 1st of February or not - you must decide on your own. You should consult with your parents, and take into account the constantly changing epidemiological situation as well as the absence of signs of viral diseases and write an application to the directorate of your institute for 1 or 2 options of the previous announcement before 01/17/2021.
