"Schneider Electric" and AUPET are launching the "Competence Center for Industrial Automation"

On the eve of the opening of the new “Schneider Electric training and research laboratory” at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev, the meeting of the Rector Saule Sagintayeva with representatives of this world famous company in the field of industrial automation took place

 At the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev, preparations for the launch of a new educational research laboratory are being completed. The laboratory is equipped with modern automation and control equipment from Schneider Electric. At 12 training stands, students and undergraduates will be able to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities in working with industrial controllers, frequency regulators, actuators and software for automated control systems for technological processes.      

The opening of the laboratory is scheduled for February. This information was discussed at a meeting between AUPET Rector Saule Sagintayeva and head of the department “Automation and Control”  Igor Fedorenko with representatives of the Kazakh office of “Schneider Electric” - the head of the automation department Zein Nazaybekov, who oversees the project, and marketing manager Alena Kudinova.

The educational and research laboratory is just one of the steps towards the creation of the ‘Schneider Electric competence center’ for industrial automation at Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev. In the near future, a series of refresher courses for faculty of the Department “Automation and Control”, which are conducted by Schneider Electric specialists, will be completed.

In the future, it is planned to conduct various events for students and select candidates for participation in projects of the company's partners in various regions of Kazakhstan. The mutual agreement on joint holding of refresher courses for specialists in automation and control in technical systems was discussed. In general, there are a lot of ideas!

Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev and Schneider Electric are aimed at the most serious, long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation!
