On January 27, 2021, on the Google Meet platform, a seminar on the theme "Advantages of Environmental Design" with the chief ecologist of LLP “Timal Consulting Group”, Abytov Allayar Khakymzhanovich was held. The event was organized by the Department “Engineering Ecology and Labor Safety” of the Institute “Heat Power Engineering and Control Systems”.

The purpose of the seminar is the development and implementation of projects of economic and other activities aimed at protecting water, land resources and atmospheric air.

The significance of ecological design in the world is of great importance, as well-designed projects will help to solve the problems of nature management in the field of environmental protection.

The following the issues were covered at the seminar:

- Main measures for environmental protection;

- Assessment of the impact of technological procedures on the ecological situation in the regions;

- Calculation of the sanitary protection zone;

- State environmental control and reporting requirements on the results of industrial environmental control;

- evaluation of environmental impact, preliminary evaluation of  environmental impact;

- Development of draft standards for maximum permissible emissions into the atmosphere;

- Development of draft standards for maximum permissible discharges into the environment.

1-4 year students of the specialty “Life Safety and Environmental Protection”, faculty of the Department “Engineering Ecology and Labor Safety”, etc. took part in the event.

During the seminar, its participants got acquainted with the latest amendments and additions to the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as with the local base of regulatory legal acts in the field of environmental protection. Chief ecologist of LLP “Timal Consulting Group” Abytov A.Kh. shared his experience in the preparation of environmental reporting for enterprises and the development of projects in the field of environmental management.

As part of the transition to an environmentally safe and sustainable development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Department “Engineering Ecology and Labor Safety” of the Institute “Heat Power Engineering and Control Systems” is planning another webinar in the field of environmental protection next month.
