Modern technologies and new equipment are being introduced into the educational process!

At the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev, the series of advanced training courses have started for faculty of the Department “Automation and Control”. The courses are conducted by “Schneider Electric”, the world leader in industrial automation.

Highly-qualified faculty is priority - this truth is the key to high-quality education and successful activities of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev. Therefore, the most serious and close attention is paid here to improving the qualifications of the faculty.

Since January 2021, within the framework of multilateral cooperation with “Schneider Electric”, the advanced training program for faculty of the Department “Automation and Control” has been implemented. A series of courses, the first of which have already taken place at the end of January, was planned. They were dedicated to increasing the level of knowledge, skills and abilities in working with modern automation equipment "Schneider Electric" - industrial controllers. Without them, today it is impossible to imagine any automation and control system in almost any area of ​​human activity.

Faculty conducting classes at AUPET in the state language, in Russian and English on the subjects of the educational program "Automation and Control", were included in the advanced training group. The purpose of the courses organized in January is to improve skills in working with modern industrial equipment and its programming.

Based on the knowledge gained and in accordance with the latest technical and software developments, adjustments will be made to the content of the subjects. These are: "Elements and devices of automation", "Programming of digital equipment and microcontrollers of control", "Microprocessor complexes in control systems", "Automation of control objects", "Design of automation systems" and "Basics of building Scada-systems".

This is just the beginning. Already in the first half of February at the AUPET for faculty of the Department “Automation and Control”, one more refresher courses from the company “Schneider Electric” will take place. They will be devoted to other components and software of modern industrial automation systems. After all, it is not for nothing that it is said that “Faculty decides everything”!
