The Department "Automation and Control" and "Honeywell ACS" company have discussed participation in joint projects

The meeting of representatives of scientific directions of the Department “Automation and Control” with the General Director of “Honeywell ACS” Serik Abdigaliev was held at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev. The purpose of the meeting is to participate in joint automation projects in various industries.

Honeywell ACS is a Kazakhstani representative of Honeywell Corporation (USA), a world famous developer of tools and control systems in the field of industrial automation. Faculty of the Department “Automation and Control”, who has impressive experience in the implementation of scientific developments in production: professors Irbulat Utepbergenov, Bakhyt Mukhanov, Sarsenbek Zhusupbekov, associate professors Akambay Beisembayev and head of the department Igor Fedorenko, senior teacher Shynar Adilova took part in the meeting. Almaz Saukhimov, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Activities of AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeyev, took part in the discussion of joint plans.

Doctor of Technical Sciences Irbulat Utepbergenov is an authoritative specialist in the field of information technology and processing of "big data", known far beyond the borders of Kazakhstan. Bakhyt Mukhanov is a laureate of the State Prize in the field of industrial automation. Another professor Sarsenbek Zhusupbekov heads the research laboratory of automated control systems for technological processes at AUPET.

Serik Abdigaliyev, General Director “Honeywell ACS”, spoke about the developments introduced into operation over more than 20 years of Honeywell's operation in Kazakhstan. Among the numerous partners are such well-known corporations and companies as Tengizchevroil, Karachaganak, KazMunayGas, KEGOC, Kazphosphate, KazTransOil, ERG, Kazpost, Kazakhmys, Air Astana "," Nostrum: Oil & Gas "and others.

The joint plans of the company “Honeywell ACS” and the Department “Automation and Control” on participation in engineering projects for the development and implementation of automation and control systems at the facilities of the fuel and energy complex of Kazakhstan were discussed and outlined at a meeting at AUPET.

It should be noted that a memorandum of cooperation is in force between AUPET and “Honeywell ACS”. Serik Abdigaliyev himself has been the chairman of the state attestation commission for the defense of diploma projects in the specialty "Automation and Control" for the second year. The creation of a research laboratory at AUPET equipped with Honeywell equipment and software was planned. The company takes part in the development of curricula for the Department “Automation and Control”, willingly takes students for practice. AUPET alumni are among the employees of Honeywell, which has offices in three cities of Kazakhstan - Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Atyrau.
