Quarantine will be weakened in Kazakhstan from March 1

Quarantine in Kazakhstan will be weakened from March 1. This became known following a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Preventing the Spread of Coronavirus Infection in the country, Tengrinews.kz reports.

Following the meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission, a number of decisions were adopted.

Regions that have been in the "green" zone for seven days are allowed from March 1:

the work of circuses, billiard clubs, children's entertainment centers - up to 30 percent occupancy;

holding sports events (up to 30 percent), namaz jum (up to 30 percent) and commemoration (up to 30 percent, no more than 50 people).

2. Regions that are in the "yellow" zone for seven days, to allow from March 1 to work on Sundays covered markets (grocery, non-food), shopping and entertainment centers, shopping houses, retail chains.

3. From March 1, allow combined education of schoolchildren from 1st to 5th grades, in international - from 1st to 7th grades, with the exception of Mangistau, Kostanay, Zhambyl regions, where the largest number of violations was recorded as a result of the monitoring check sanitary and epidemiological regime in educational institutions.

Also, the proposal of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development to increase the number of international flights with Turkey (four additional flights), Uzbekistan (+ four flights), Kyrgyzstan (+ two flights) and Ukraine (+ one flight) received the support of the commission.

In addition, Minister of Health Alexei Tsoi reported on the progress of the development of the bill on biological safety.

In turn, Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov noted the need to adhere to the previously approved deadlines in coordination with all involved government agencies and the introduction of budget calculations for this bill.

Earlier, Yulia Yakupbaeva, deputy chairman of the board of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, announced the easing of quarantine in the "yellow" and "red" zones. According to Yakupbaeva, the decision to ease quarantine in the "green" and "yellow" zones was discussed at a meeting of the IAC on February 24. It will come into force on March 1.
