On February 24, 2021, at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications (AUPET) named after Gumarbek Daukeyev, the Department for Language Studies held an annual student scientific conference on the topic “Actual problems and innovations in the modern world”. The conference was held in an online format, where students of 1-3 courses took part. The papers were presented in English and German.

The following students were given award certificates. The students of the English language section:

1^st  place – Meruert Ramatullayeva

2^nd place  – Kemal' Seidualiyev

2^nd place – Turar Khafiz

3^rd place – Ilya Kocher, Nargiza Imirova

3^rd place – Aruzhan Ashimova

3^rd place – Kamilla Muratova

The students of the German language section:

1^st place – Nailya Balakshieva

2^nd place – Salimzhan Shaimerdenov

2^nd place – Akhmadjon Sapayev

3^rd place – Aisultan  Kubayev

The purpose of the conference is to motivate students in developing research skills and expand their horizons for the implementation of educational and professional activities in the future. Public speaking at the conference contributes to the development of foreign language presentation skills and the skills of attracting audience. Students are given the opportunity to enrich their knowledge and experience, as well as make sure in the right direction of study!
